  • At least one author for each paper must register in ICEC 2009 in order to include the paper in the proceedings. Authors must register before June 20, 2009.

  3. USD: US dollars. NTD (also known as TWD): New Taiwan dollars. The exchange rate is based on 1:32 (USD to NTD). Registration will be charged in NTD. Therefore, your exact payment in USD may be slightly different from that listed above.

Registration Fee will cover
  • Entrance to all conference presentations
  • Entrance to all tutorials (in the afternoon of August 12)
  • Lunches for August 13 and 14

  • Conference packet of materials including the conference proceedings
  • Conference banquet in the evening of August 14
  • Any other events scheduled for the conference

Overlength Charges
Page limits are 10 pages for full papers, 6 pages for short papers, and 4 pages for poster papers. Extra pages are charged $4,800 NTD (about $150 USD) per page. A maximum of two extra pages is allowed for each paper.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I register and pay onsite?
A: Yes. The conference accepts cash, traveler’s checks, VISA, MasterCard and American Express for onsite registrations. However, we strongly encourage all participants to register and pay in advance. Early and regular registration fees are offered at discounted rates.

Q: What’s the last day for conference registration via the website or fax?
A: The last day for conference registration via the website or fax is Monday, August 10, 2009 (in Taipei Time Zone). On-site registration will be available starting Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 1:00pm.

Q: What is the refund policy for conference registration cancellations?
A: Cancellations must be received in writing (icec2009@gmail.com) or fax to +886-3-562-1814. Cancellations received prior to July 20, 2009 will be issued a refund less a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after July 20, 2009 are not entitled to a refund. For the process of proceedings production, author registration cannot be canceled but can be transferred to another author of the same paper.

Q: What if I would like to bring a guest?
A: Guest tickets are available for the social events only. You can pay for your guest ticket at the conference.
